Abstract This paper discuss the optical parameters of tin oxide nanopowder prepared by sol-gel method. Tin shows 81 % transmittance in near IR region. In this region, highest reflectance, %. The band gap was 3.43 eV. cut-off wavelength is 362.15 nm. refractive index and extinction coefficient were calculated. real imaginary values dielectric constants calculated value constant higher than constants. average crystallite size from XRD pattern 15.93 FESEM analysis that particle 17.21
